Judges and prosecutors’ seminar on IP infringements and Launch of the AL-INVEST Verde IPR Protection Network
The seminar provides the opportunity to continue building a network among key IP enforcement stakeholders (including not only judges and public prosecutors but also customs authorities) to reinforce specific knowledge on IPRs in the courts of MERCOSUR and partner countries and to discuss the nature and impact of IPR infringements.
The specific purpose of the activity is to exchange best practices about general cross-cutting IPR enforcement issues, such as: the availability of interim injunctions; evidence requirements; amount of damages; (harmonization of the) predictability of decisions; enforceability of decisions; or online infringements.
The activity is an opportunity to continue the work of the AL-INVEST Verde IPR Protection Network concerning the gathering of relevant IP case law in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.
Partners: DINAPI (IPO Paraguay) and the Supreme Court of Paraguay; Judiciary authorities of Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay
