Resounding success of the International Seminar on Trade Mark Infringement for Judges from MERCOSUR and Chile.

We are pleased to announce that the ‘International Seminar on Trade Mark Infringement for Judges from MERCOSUR and Chile’, which has now concluded, was a great success.

On 20 and 21 June 2023, we had the honour of organising this event together with the Intellectual Property Directorate of the Supreme Court of Paraguay and the National Directorate of Intellectual Property of Paraguay (DINAPI), and with help from INTA (International Trademark Association).

During two full days, leading experts addressed various issues related to trade mark infringement at the international level, analysing the regulatory framework in the European Union, MERCOSUR and Chile. Participants delved deep into the legal challenges and best practices in trade mark protection, thus strengthening knowledge and collaboration in this key area of law.

We are proud to report the participants included distinguished judges from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and the European Union, who presented reviews of relevant case-law from their respective countries. Their participation was of great value in enriching the debates and fostering the exchange of experiences among the participants.

We thank all attendees, whether they attended in person or online, for their participation and their contributions to this important event. The high level of attendance and active participation reflect the commitment and interest of the legal community in promoting trade mark protection and strengthening international cooperation in this field.
