EU IP Project in China (2025-2028)
The ‘Intellectual Property Protection and Enforcement in China: A Key to Sustainable Competitiveness of the EU’ is an EU-Funded initiative designed to strengthen intellectual property (IP) cooperation between the European Union (EU) and China, implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The project builds on the IP KEY China and aims at increasing alignment of China with European standards in IPR protection and enforcement, enhance transparency and ensure a fair investment and trading environment for EU rights holders in China.
Objectives
The project seeks to contribute to:
- enhanced transparency and predictability in IP protection and enforcement;
- exchange of knowledge and best practices between EU and Chinese stakeholders;
- improved understanding of IP systems and their practical implementation;
- support for innovation systems, including for SMEs and in emerging sectors.
