EU IP Project in China and NCAC Hold Exchange on Copyright Enforcement and Emerging Technologies
On 13 and 14 October 2026, the EU-Funded EU IP Project in China, implemented and co-funded by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), in cooperation with the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC), organised a knowledge exchange on copyright and related rights protection and enforcement in Yinchuan, Ningxia, China.
The event brought together government officials, rights holder organisations, collective management organisations, industry representatives and experts from Europe and China to discuss recent legislative and regulatory developments, share international perspectives and address emerging challenges affecting copyright protection in the digital environment. Discussions covered recent copyright enforcement efforts, the opportunities and challenges arising from the development of Artificial Intelligence, and the protection of copyright in the online environment.
The event contributed to strengthening technical dialogue between European and Chinese stakeholders, promoting more effective copyright protection and enforcement, and identifying areas for future EU-China cooperation on copyright and related rights.
