Launch Mentorship programme during Inova Amazônia

AL-INVEST Verde IPR is co-sponsoring the Inova Amazônia Summit for SMEs and start-ups from the Brazilian Amazon region who are active in the bioeconomy sector. The Summit is being organised by the Brazilian Support Service for Micro and Small Enterprises (SEBRAE) and other partners and sponsors.

The Summit marks the largest gathering of innovative businesses from the Amazon region who are active in the bioeconomy and offers an important platform to strengthen the identity of the Amazon biome with high value-added products and services and to promote territorial development through business generation.

During the 2-day Summit, AL-INVEST Verde IPR facilitates the participation of 21 representatives of geographical indications (GIs) from the Amazon region. Additionally, AL-INVEST Verde IPR will provide the expertise of IP specialists, who will give presentations on GIs in business strategies for internationalization and as a means to create value for biodiversity businesses.

But most notably, the Summit marks the setting for the official launch of the first mentorships to be implemented in Brazil under the novel ALINVmentor programme within the framework of geographical indications. This first edition will include six mentorships in the MERCOSUR countries to promote local development, drive local production, and achieve value-added and sustainable production chains while also preserving cultural heritage.

The programme on 10 May in the morning (local time) will be live-streamed and can be followed online. Please find below the agenda of the hybrid part of the event and how to register.
