Seminar on Generative AI and Copyright in the EU and Korea

The EUIPO, in collaboration with the European Commission, hosted a seminar in Brussels on 25 June 2025, in the context of the EU-Republic of Korea (RoK) IP Action.

The seminar aimed to foster a meaningful exchange on the evolving landscape of AI-generated content and copyright, focusing on recent regulatory developments and the implications for creators in both the European Union and Korea.

AL-INVEST Verde IPR Closing Event: Past and Future – Innovation, Sustainability and Intellectual Property | Day 1 IP and the Productive Sector

The first day of the closing event of AL-INVEST Verde IPR project, organised in collaboration with SEBRAE Origens, brought together some of its main partners, the IP offices from MERCOSUR countries and Chile, and representatives from the productive sector, SMEs, producers and experts to discuss how intellectual property can generate sustainable value from territories to markets. Through panels, case studies and mentoring experiences, the role of trade marks, geographical indications and innovation in building more inclusive and competitive development in Latin America were highlighted.

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) will organise the event #CONEXIÓNVerde+ in Medellín, Colombia, in collaboration with the other implementing partners of the AL-INVEST Verde programme: the development organisation 'sequa', the International Italo-Latin American Organisation (IIlLA), and the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Public Administration and Policy (FIAPP), in the context of the EU-funded IP cooperation project AL-INVEST Verde IPR or Component 3 the Programme.

Award Ceremony Ingenias LATAM 2025 Women Inventors' Award

The Ingenias LATAM Award is an initiative of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), in the context of the EU-funded project AL-INVEST Verde IPR. Its main objective is to showcase women innovators from Latin-America and their creations and inventions on an international stage. The first edition will be hosted by the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) of Chile, a global leader in fostering an inclusive IP landscape.

EUIPO organised 5th Virtual Knowledge Exchange with MERCOSUR and Chile IP Experts on the flagship tool TMview

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) hosted the 5th Virtual Meeting of Intellectual Property (IP) Experts from MERCOSUR and Chile on 4 June 2025, organised in the framework of the AL-INVEST Verde IPR project. This technical workshop spotlighted TMview an EUIPO global search tool for trade marks—focusing on expanding adoption of the tool and impact across the region.
