EUIPO project AL-INVEST Verde IPR highlights the role of intellectual property in sustainable development at Inova Amazônia Summit 2025

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), in the context of the EU-funded project AL-INVEST Verde IPR, actively participated in the Inova Amazônia Summit 2025 held in Macapá, Brazil from 21-23 May. As the largest bioeconomy-focused event in the Amazon region, the Summit brings together over 5,000 entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, and sustainability advocates to shape the future of green development in the Amazon.

Experts meeting on AI and new technologies applied to IP

As AI and digital technologies continue to evolve, they have the potential to facilitate IP protection, both for the IP Offices providing IP services and for the businesses, creators and IP professionals who are in a position to better manage their IP with the help of AI. This meeting explored what stage the IP Offices in Korea and in the EU are currently at in implementing AI in their respective offices. The meeting looked at the extent to which AI was being implemented to support the IP services these offices provide.
