The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) hosted the Third Virtual Knowledge Exchange Meeting for intellectual property (IP) offices of MERCOSUR countries and Chile on 11 November 2024, organised in the framework of the EU-funded IP cooperation project AL-INVEST Verde IPR.
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK), and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) co-organised the ‘IPR Conference 2024: IP Rights in the Digital Environment’ on 11 November. The event was inaugurated by EU Ambassador María Castillo Fernández, Mr Stefan Ernst, President of the ECCK, and Mr Wan Ki Kim, Commissioner of KIPO.
On 16-17 December in Luang Prabang, Laos, SCOPE IPR will hold a conference on Geographical Indications for ASEAN Countries: Prospects and Challenges. The conference aims to support South-East Asian intellectual property officials and geographical indications (GIs) stakeholders in strengthening their capacity to manage GIs. The event will highlight the cultural and economic importance of GIs in helping local producers protect and commercialise their unique products.
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) hosted a delegation from the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations (UANIPIO) for a study visit from 5 to 7 November 2024. The EUIPO led this capacity-building initiative in the context of the EU‑funded IP cooperation project EU4IP.

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) will organise the event #CONEXIÓNVerde in Belém of Pará in Brazil, in collaboration with the other implementing partners of the AL-INVEST Verde programme: the development organisation sequa, the International Italo-Latin American Organisation (IIlLA), and the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Public Administration and Policy (FIAPP), in the context of the EU-funded IP cooperation project AL-INVEST Verde IPR or Component 3 the Programme.
