EU4IP-WB objectives will focus on achieving four expected results.
Expected result 1: Legal and policy frameworks for IPR aligned with EU regulations and international treaties compliance. This will facilitate participation in global protection systems, accelerating EU integration.
Expected result 2: Strengthened IP institutions and networks using common practices and tools (including AI), creating a more efficient IP protection system. This will boost regional growth, innovation and harmonisation for trade-related matters.
Expected result 3: Enhanced regional cooperation on IP enforcement, focusing on the fight against the trade of counterfeit goods and piracy.
Expected result 4: Increased public awareness of the value of IP and strengthened capacity to protect, administer, value, commercialise and enforce IP rights for SMEs and underrepresented groups such as women and youth.
The implementation of the first annual work plan is planned for the second half of 2026.
