Participation in OECD enforcement capacity building event on governance in Free Trade Zones in the Western Balkans

Free Trade Zones (FTZs) play an important role in international trade and can also present specific challenges for IP enforcement, including in relation to the transit and storage of counterfeit goods. In the Western Balkans and the Republic of Moldova, strengthening the capacity of enforcement authorities to monitor and address potential IP infringements within FTZs is an important area for regional cooperation.

To support this objective, the project will co-organise a capacity-building event focused on governance and enforcement challenges in FTZs together with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). It will bring together enforcement authorities from the Western Balkans and the Republic of Moldova and will take place from 22-23 October in Barcelona, Spain.
