Support to legislative alignment with EU acquis in North Macedonia: legal comparative analysis and drafting law amendments/regulations on patents

Patent protection is an important step towards enabling innovation, technological development and foreign investment. Ensuring compliance with EU standards in this field is key to progressing the accession path for North Macedonia.

This activity will lay the groundwork for amendments to the national legislation, addressing identified gaps and bringing the national framework into closer alignment with EU laws. It will include analytical and preparatory work, the definition of terms of reference and, at a later stage, a legal comparative analysis between the EU and North Macedonia.
