Under the theme ‘Nigeria and the New Economy’, the eighth edition of the EU-Nigeria Business Forum (EUNBF) will take place from 30 June to 1 July 2022 at Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos (Nigeria).
The EUNBF is a platform for the European Union (EU) and Nigerian businesses to increase domestic investments, enhance access to the EU market, and build strategic partnerships.

On 11 October 2022, the CarIPI project, in collaboration with the Bureau of Standards in Jamaica (BSJ) organised an online meeting with Jamaican stakeholders.
On 28 June 2022, the CarIPI project organised its first online session to promote opportunities for research cooperation between EU and CARIFORUM countries. There was a strong focus on the European Commission’s Horizon Europe Programme. Researchers, research institutions, industry representatives and private sector stakeholders from the Caribbean region took part in the session.
On 30 June 2022, Sakpatenti and EUGIPP will organise a follow-up session examining the conclusions of the training course on IP pre-diagnostic (IP scan) services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) held on 4-5 May 2022. The purpose of the follow-up will be to put into practice what was learned in the previous course and to further discuss how to support SMEs that wish to protect their IP rights.
From 18 to 20 May 2022, AfrIPI organised a regional workshop on the role of intellectual property (IP) in market integration in Central Africa, and on the strategic relevance of the IP protocol of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).
On 19-20 May, CarIPI, the European Union’s Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) and the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) organised a seminar on regional cooperation in plant variety protection at the Office of Plant Variety Registration and Protection of Breeders' Rights (OREVADO), of the Ministry of Agriculture in the Dominican Republic.
