Sakpatenti staff to attend training programme on IP scan services

On 4-5 May 2022, the EUGIPP and Sakpatenti will organise a training course on IP pre-diagnostic (IP scan) services for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The purpose is to train Sakpatenti officials on the needs of SMEs who wish to protect their IP rights and, more specifically, how to handle requests from companies and assess their needs.

The 2-day training programme covers a variety of topics such as IPRs, IP internationalisation and commercialisation, as well as IP and innovation. The sessions will give participants practical explanations of what SMEs expect from an IP scan. The trainer will also provide Sakpatenti staff with relevant materials, guidelines and practical reference documents which will be used as templates to advise Georgian SMEs.

The event is part of the ‘Development of IP Scan services and IP pre-diagnostics for the benefit of SMEs’ activity, which includes a series of actions aimed to create an IP scan service within Sakpatenti.
