The Green Potential of Intellectual Property: Success Stories – Applicability of Intellectual Property for Sustainable Development.

AL-INVEST Verde IPR joins the Green Rio conference for the second consecutive year to promote sustainability in Latin America through intellectual property (IP).

In collaboration with INPI Brazil, AL-INVEST Verde IPR proposes to highlight the green potential of IP as a means of promoting sustainability in the region.

There was a plenary session followed by a workshop designed to show how IP can play a crucial role in fostering sustainability and responsible development in Latin America.

ARISE+IPR comes to an end

The ARISE+ IPR is a beneficiary-driven project administered by the EUIPO and the ASEAN Working Group on IP Cooperation. ARISE+ IPR supports the advancement of Intellectual property rights in the ASEAN region since 2018. This project was possible thanks to the hard work and commitment from the Intellectual Property offices from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand, Viet Nam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, and Singapore, and the ASEAN Secretariat.

AL-INVEST Verde IPR promotes Digital Modernisation in the Intellectual Property Office of Paraguay (DINAPI)

AL-INVEST Verde IPR is working closely with the Paraguayan Intellectual Property Office (DINAPI) in a study titled ‘Digital Modernisation: Diagnosis and Action Plan of DINAPI’.

This project’s objective is to identify DINAPI’s digital transformation priorities and develop a strategic action plan to improve the quality of its IT services and internal processes.

IV PSC Meeting

On 23 June 2023, the CARIFORUM Innovation and Intellectual Property Project (CarIPI) project presented at the fourth Project Steering Committee meeting in Bridgetown, Barbados. Discussions took place on the status of its Component of the 11th European Development Fund support to CARIFORUM States in furthering the implementation of their European Partnership Agreement (EPA) commitments and in meaningfully benefitting from the EPA.

Consultation Meeting with heads of CARIFORUM IP offices

On 13 July 2023 the CARIFORUM Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation (CarIPI) project met with several heads of CARIFORUM IP offices that were present in Geneva, Switzerland for the World Intellectual Property Office General Assemblies from 6 -14 July.
