Feasibility study relating to the convergence on graphical representations of designs

Between February 18th -19th  2019, ARISE+ IPR team organized the 3rd ASEAN Design Consultation Meeting with the participation of senior design officials from all ten ASEAN Member States. The key focus of the meeting was the ASEAN Common Guidelines on the Examination and Registration of Industrial Designs. Other areas of common interest, such as the Hague Agreement, the graphical representation of designs, and other common design practices, including the ASEAN initiative on the feasibility of harmonizing formality requirements in designs, were also discussed.

During the meeting, EUIPO Experts shared experience in updating the EUIPO Design Guidelines and provided a technical presentation on the benefits of the convergence project on graphical representation (CP6).
