Creation of a publication of ASEAN Women in IP

From October 2022 to March 2023, ARISE+ IPR intends to create a publication on ASEAN Women in intellectual property (IP). The goal is to identify women mentors and important figures to be examples for female entrepreneurs.

According to the studies conducted by ARISE+ IPR under previous Annual Work Plans (AWPs), there is still a gender gap as women are less likely to be involved in science, technology, and modern intellectual property rights-intensive industries. Therefore, the activity aims to highlight and identify women who have been influential either in their use of IP or in their promotion of IP rights in the ASEAN countries. This publication will provide inspiration and also raise awareness of women who have played key roles in promoting IP across the ASEAN territories.
