Training on the revised ASEAN Trade Mark Guidelines for TM officials
To support the ASEAN Member States’ effort in improving the quality of the examination of trade marks in the region, the ASEAN Common Guidelines on the Substantive Examination of Trade Marks were adopted in 2015 in the framework of ECAP III Phase II. ARISE+ IPR carries on with the initiative through several means, including the support to the updating of the common Guidelines and the organisation of an online training on the revised version published in April 2020.
The online training modules presented by an EUIPO Trade Mark expert on 29 May 2020 provides Trade Mark officials from each Member State with the latest information on the new revision of the guidelines, the comparison of goods and services, the distinctiveness of three-dimensional marks, and new types of trade marks.
