Support to the maintenance and updating of ASEAN IT Tools

Following the ‘IT Training on the Maintenance and Update of ASEAN TMview and ASEAN DesignView’ at the European Union Intellectual Property Office’s (EUIPO) headquarters in December 2019, the ARISE+ IPR programme continues to assist the Association of Southeast Asian Nations’ (ASEAN) IP offices in the updating and maintenance of the ASEAN IT Tools and enhance the ASEAN Member States’ capacity to manage their regional tools in a sustainable way.

Between May 2020 and March 2021, the ARISE+ IPR IT Expert had provided technical support for the maintenance of the regional tools specifically to the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), which is responsible for the ASEAN TMview and Designview, and the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO), which is responsible for the ASEAN TMclass. Both databases had also been regularly updated with data from the ASEAN IP offices.
