Support to the ASEAN IPR Helpdesk

ARISE+ IPR supports the creation of an ASEAN IPR helpdesk, which coincides with one of the ASEAN IPR Action Plan 2016-2025’s strategic goals. The project and its stakeholders have envisaged the ASEAN IPR Helpdesk as a one-stop online service that will assist trade mark and design applicants filing applications in any ASEAN Member State (AMS).

Under the framework of this activity and in close cooperation with the AMS and ASEAN Secretariat, ARISE+ IPR provided a roadmap for the project and organised a regional workshop, including experience-sharing sessions. This activity aimed to strengthen cooperation between the AMS and empower local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) so they benefit from having their IP rights protected.
