Study visit INPI Brazil to EUIPO to improve Intellectual Property management processes

INPI Brazil, one of the largest IP offices in the world, is undertaking active measures towards the modernization ofmodernise its office’s processes as part of their National Intellectual Property Strategy of Intellectual Property (ENPI). Key objectives are to:

  • achieve greater efficiency;
  • simplify procedures, and;
  • improve the cost-benefit relation within the IP system in order to improve IP examination and registration processes.

A study visit to the EUIPO fits into their strategy to obtain gain knowledge about setting targets and measuring performance using service charters from experienced IPO offices. The visit’s programme of the visit and related seminar includes a closer look into innovative management systems (including graphic representation of the performance and targets) as well as the evolution of the most important indicators.
