Social Media Campaign on the Importance of IP Rights
Running from August 2025 to April 2026, this regional social media campaign aims to raise awareness among ASEAN audiences about the value of intellectual property (IP) for society, creators, and businesses, especially MSMEs. As part of SCOPE IPR’s continued commitment to public education, the campaign will focus on fostering wider discussions about IP rights through engaging and accessible content. The activity supports Strategic Goal 4 of the ASEAN IPR Action Plan 2016-2025 by promoting the protection and commercialisation of IP assets and enhancing public respect for IP.
The campaign will feature regular posts, audiovisual content tailored for local audiences, and press engagement actions co-created with leading online media outlets in ASEAN. By tapping into the influence of media partners and public-facing platforms, the campaign will deliver compelling IP messages to varied audiences in multiple languages. It will also include call-to-action initiatives that encourage users to become message catalysts, extending outreach to broader communities, including MSMEs. A regional media partner with a strong digital footprint will help ensure impact, alignment of messaging, and wide visibility across ASEAN’s diverse and dynamic information landscape.
