ASEAN-EU Heads of IP Offices Meeting
Scheduled for early 2027, the ASEAN-EU Heads of IP Offices Meeting will bring together senior leadership from both regions to strengthen strategic dialogue and reinforce long-standing cooperation in IP. Building on similar exchanges under previous EU-funded programmes, the meeting will provide a platform for high-level exchanges on global and technological developments shaping the IP landscape. It will also serve as an opportunity to align priorities and explore how IP systems can continue to support innovation, creativity and sustainable economic growth.
Aligned with the ASEAN IPR Action Plan 2026-2030 and the EUIPO Strategic Plan 2030, the meeting will focus on key priority areas of mutual interest as defined in consultation with ASEAN Member States and the ASEAN Secretariat.
As ASEAN and the EU approach the 25th anniversary of their cooperation in 2027, this event will further emphasise the depth of their partnership and shared vision for inclusive and progressive IP systems. The meeting may be held alongside another regional or international event, either in ASEAN Member States or the EU, to maximise engagement and impact.
