EUIPO expresses solidarity with the Philippines following the Sarangani earthquake

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) expresses its deepest condolences and sincere solidarity with the people of the Philippines following the earthquake that struck offshore Sarangani on 8 June 2026.

Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, loved ones and all those impacted by this tragedy.

The Executive Director has issued Decision No EX-26-11 granting an extension of time limits to all parties in proceedings before the Office having their residence or registered office in the Philippines.

A letter of condolence has been sent to the relevant Philippine IPO and partners.

The EUIPO stands alongside the international community in expressing support for the people of the Philippines and all those involved in the ongoing response and recovery efforts.
