Digitalisation and efficiency

During the first phase of CarIPI, the project supported the successful integration of Belize, the Dominican Republic, and Trinidad and Tobago into TMview, and supported the development of the Caribbean TMclass, accepted by 10 CARIFORUM IP Offices. In this project phase, promoting the modernisation and regional harmonisation of IP systems remains a priority.

Under AWP1, the Dominican Republic successfully completed its technical integration into DESIGNview, paving the way for full participation in the regional and international exchange of industrial design information. Preparatory work was launched with the IPO of Saint Kitts and Nevis (IPOSKN) positioning the office for TMview integration scheduled to begin by mid-April 2026.

Under AWP2, CarIPI will continue to advance the integration of CARIFORUM IP offices into EUIPN platforms. Furthermore, to consolidate institutional capacity, the project will organise an in-person train-the-trainer workshop on the advanced features of TMview, DESIGNview, TMclass, and DESIGNclass, enabling participants to cascade knowledge within their national contexts and laying the foundation for future cooperation and potential integration with EUIPO systems.
