ARISE+ IPR hosts two meetings as part of the 69th meeting of the AWGIPC

As part of the upcoming 69th meeting of the ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation (AWGIPC) taking place on 14-17 March 2023 in Bohol, the Philippines, ARISE+ IPR will host two meetings on 15 March 2023, including the 6th sub-Project Steering Committee (sub-PSC) Meeting and Conference on Regional Intellectual Property Systems.

The 6th sub-PSC Meeting will be held in the morning for in-person participants. In this meeting, ARISE+ IPR will report on the implementation progress of the current Annual Work Plan, the overall project implementation over the last 5 years, and the way forward.

The Conference on Regional Intellectual Property Systems, taking place in the afternoon and in hybrid format, aims at further discussing the recommendations laid out in the ASEAN Trade Mark Registration System feasibility study, which was completed under ARISE+ IPR Annual Work Plan 2.

The conference agenda will cover the feasibility study on the establishment of an ASEAN Regional Trade Mark Registration System, followed by round-table discussions on ‘The Way Forward for ASEAN, Regional Trade Marks and Beyond’.
