EU4IP’s 2nd Project Steering Committee meeting

On 15 December 2025, the EU4IP project held its second Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting, chaired by the Directorate-General for Enlargement and the Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST) with the support of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (the EUIPO). The meeting brought together key stakeholders and partners to review the progress achieved and discuss priorities for the project’s Second Work Plan (WP2).

The partner intellectual property offices — the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI), the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations (UANIPIO) and the recently joined Armenian Intellectual Property Office (AIPO) - participated actively in the discussions. They were joined by representatives from the European Commission directorates (DG ENEST, DG GROW, DG CNECT, DG TRADE and DG SANTE). The Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) joined as observers, contributing to the exchange of expertise.

The PSC acknowledged the successful completion of the First Work Plan (WP1), which had laid the foundations for project implementation, and built momentum for further cooperation. The adoption of WP2 defines the activities that will guide the project’s next phase, ensuring continued support to the partner countries in their alignment with the EU acquis on intellectual property. This is a key step in strengthening the IP systems of the Republic of Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine, while furthering their integration into the European Union Intellectual Property Network (EUIPN).

The PSC meeting highlighted the importance of the ‘Team Europe’ approach, which brings together expertise from EU Member States, the EUIPO and international partners. By building on the achievements of the first work plan, WP2 will continue to foster cooperation, strengthen enforcement and enhance IP awareness in the region.
