Integration of IP administration tools (EUIPN search and classification databases) in Ukraine

The European Union Intellectual Property Network has created a number of tools to facilitate the trade mark registration workflows with functionality ranging from search or classification to entire front office and back office systems used by EU National and Regional IP offices.

The Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations (UANIPIO) integrated TMView in 2025 (cf. Enlargement Report 2025) and will work on DesignView. This activity supports and is aligned with the UANIPIO’s Strategic Plan 2024-2028, in particular the strategic aim 3 Digital transformation.

These databases are the largest multilingual resources for goods, services and product indications, pre-approved by all EU national and regional IP offices and the EUIPO:

-    DesignView will enable users to search designs registered in participating offices worldwide. Integration into this database will allow UANIPIO to publish its design data globally, improving visibility and transparency.
-    TMclass and DesignClass are classification tools supporting applicants and examiners in selecting harmonised terms for goods, services and product indications. The inclusion of Ukrainian translations of the HDB and HDBPI will reduce translation costs, ensure legal certainty and help streamline the examination process.
