Launch mentorship programme in Argentina
AL-INVEST Verde IPR, in collaboration with the Bioeconomy Secretariat of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Argentina, will organise a virtual event to mark the opening of the call for interest for the first edition of the AL-INVEST Verde IPR mentorship programme, AL-INVmentor, in Argentina.
AL-INVmentor Argentina is part of the first edition of the mentorship programme that focuses on the MERCOSUR countries and follows the launch of the mentorships in Paraguay on 6 May 2024 and Brazil on 10 May 2024. AL-INVmentor Argentina will support select groups of local agri-food producers in the effective use of intellectual property instruments, mainly geographical indications (GIs), through specialised mentoring.
The event will be opened by high-representatives from the Bioeconomy Secretariat, the Undersecretary for Agricultural Markets and International Negotiations and the Undersecretary for Bioindustries, Biotechnologies and Innovation, as well as the Head of the Economic and Trade Section of the EU Delegation to Argentina.
The event will include a presentation about the context of GIs by the National Director for Food and Regional Development of the Bioeconomy Secretariat, and detailed presentations regarding the functioning and benefits of AL-INVmentor given by the project leader and the AL-INVEST Verde IPR expert who will lead the mentorships.
