Green Gateway: Virtual workshops on the use of IPRs to promote sustainable trade between Brazil and the EU
The virtual webinar on the importance for Brazilian producers to effectively manage intellectual property (IP) rights to reach the EU market is organised by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) through the EU-funded IP cooperation project AL-INVEST Verde IPR, the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) of Brazil, the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP) and the National Service for Industrial Learning (SENAI) of the State of São Paulo.
The event’s objective is to provide Brazilian producers with the knowledge and tools to leverage IP rights, particularly trade marks and designs, as a strategic asset in accessing the EU market. It will also assess the role that other regulatory and policy aspects, such as unfair competition laws, green claims and environmental and deforestation regulations, play in reaching those markets.
The webinar’s speakers include experts from the EUIPO and other entities who will present the EU Trade Mark System and best practices, international applications, the Madrid Protocol, EU design rights and EU IP protection strategies.
