Seminar on the governance of geographical indications (GIs) for artisan products in Brazil
The event is twofold. It comprises a seminar to raise awareness about the importance of intellectual property (IP) governance including GIs, and a working group meeting to discuss the scope and content for the creation of a GI (information) toolkit among the competent authorities and experts.
The seminar will allow knowledge sharing among local partners and beneficiaries and aligning best practices from the EU and Latin America in the area of geographical indications for crafts and industrial products.
