The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), in the context of the EU-funded project AL-INVEST Verde IPR, in collaboration with the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI) organized the virtual seminar, "Green Brands and Sustainability: Positioning Strategies in Latin America and the European Union (EU)” on 29 April. The event aimed at business owners and representatives from the sustainable products sector provided invaluable insights for businesses looking to enhance their sustainability credentials and expand into international markets.

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) acknowledges the significant achievement of the producers of Pimentón del Valle Calchaquí in Argentina, participants in the mentorship programme on geographical indications (GIs) of the AL-INVEST Verde IPR project, in obtaining a GI. This origin-linked product was granted the status of denomination of origin on 15 April 2025, officially recognising the product’s unique qualities, which result from cultivation in the favorable climatic conditions of Salta’s high-altitude valleys.

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) hosted the 4th Virtual Meeting of Intellectual Property (IP) experts from MERCOSUR and Chile, in the context of the AL-INVEST Verde IPR project. The event held on 26 March brought together experts from the participating IP Offices (IPOs) to foster dialogue and collaboration and to exchange best practices.

The Ingenias LATAM Award is an initiative of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in the framework of the European Union (EU) funded project AL-INVEST Verde Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
