Knowledge Transfer and Capacity Building Workshop for INPI Argentina about Sustainable IP Management and Innovation

In this activity AL-INVEST Verde IPR supports the Argentinian IP Office (INPI) in its capacity building efforts towards reinforcing the “value-bridge” between research and industry, in which Intellectual Property (IP) plays a key role. In this endeavor, it will bring EU and regional expertise together. The main topic of the session is Knowledge Transfer Management (KTM) with special attention to success cases involving “green” innovation and valuable institutional experiences from both sides of the Atlantic.

Online workshop

Virtual workshop - Plant Variety Licensing

The online workshop, a joint activity between AL-INVEST Verde IPR and IP Key Latin America II, promotes the Plant Variety Licensing Lab training, developed during the first phase of the IP Key LA project.

The Plant Variety Protection system can provide valuable R&D benefits to public research institutions, breeders and SMEs in Latin America. The workshop aims to improve knowledge of the law and practice involved in commercial transactions of new plant varieties in Latin America and Europe.

Intellectual property and sustainable growth

This year marks the 30th anniversary since the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED, or the ‘Earth Summit’) took place in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro. This landmark event brought together heads of state and civil society stakeholders to address urgent problems of environmental protection and socio-economic development, and marked the beginning of drafting important agreements such as the one addressing climate change.

AL-INVEST Verde IPR participated in a conference on green economy

From 1-3 September AL-INVEST Verde IPR held the event entitled ‘Intellectual Property and Bioeconomy’ during the tenth edition of the Green Rio conference in cooperation with the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). This included a 3-day information stand and a seminar called ‘Intellectual Property Strategies for the Benefit of Green Technologies and Sustainable Development’.
