On 4 May 2023, the AL-INVEST Verde IPR online event ‘Case studies on the use of Artificial Intelligence in Intellectual Property offices’ was held in the IP offices of MERCOSUR, Chile and the EUIPO.

This was the first event organised under the ‘Knowledge Exchange between IP Offices of MERCOSUR, Chile and European Union on New Technologies and Intellectual Property’ initiative. Two more events will be held this year.

AL-INVEST Verde IPR and the Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation (AUCI) are jointly organising a webinar on 23 May.

Intellectual property is a critical issue in projects funded under the Horizon Europe Programme. It has significant implications for project management, commercialisation, and exploitation of results and collaboration between participants.

The AL-INVEST Verde IPR  Programme carries out the Launching Event on the actions carried out in the framework of the EUROCLIMA+ Programme, ‘Building a national and regional strategy for the development and adoption of sustainable technologies’, led by the National Institute of Industrial Property Brazil (INPI) and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).

AL-INVEST Verde IPR works towards Efficient and Accessible IPR Institutions, strengthening the capacity of national IP administrations, in particular those of MERCOSUR countries and Chile, to improve IPR protection and enforcement systems.

After the official launch of AL-INVEST Verde IPR during the second half of 2022, all training material from courses, webinars, seminars and other events is now available at the new learning section of the project’s website.

This section offers a variety of educational content from events that AL-INVEST Verde IPR organised or participated in last year. These include videos and presentations that make up more than 11.5 hours of recorded content, available in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
