As part of the upcoming 69th meeting of the ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation (AWGIPC) taking place on 14-17 March 2023 in Bohol, the Philippines, ARISE+ IPR will host two meetings on 15 March 2023, including the 6th sub-Project Steering Committee (sub-PSC) Meeting and Conference on Regional Intellectual Property Systems.

On 15 March 2023, ARISE+ IPR will host a hybrid Conference on Regional Intellectual Property Systems in Bohol, Philippines. The aim of this conference is to further discuss the recommendations outlined in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Trade Mark Registration System feasibility study and to learn from the heads of the regional IP offices, whose experiences were also shared in the feasibility study.

From 1-2 March 2023, ARISE+ IPR will be coordinating and providing support for the 4th ASEAN Trade Mark and Design Convergence Meeting, which is being held in Bangkok, Thailand, together with the ASEAN IP Offices and ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC).

These parallel consultation meetings aim to improve trade marks and design services in the ASEAN territories. The focal point will be a discussion on the future of the ASEAN Common Guidelines, followed by break-out meetings of the Trade Mark Convergence Network and the Design Convergence Network.
