Seminar on the European Patent System

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) under the EU-RoK IP Action, the Korean Ministry of Intellectual Property (MOIP) and the European Patent Office (EPO) co-organised the “Seminar on the European Patent System” on 14 October in Seoul.

Tailored specifically for Korean users, the seminar brought together prominent IP experts and representatives from the EPO and the Unified Patent Court (UPC), who shared their insights on European patent filing strategies and compared the Unitary Patent (UP) and European Patent (EP) systems. They also presented case studies and offered practical tips on EPO examination practices and the functioning of the UPC.
