The GI Hub is a common online platform that aims to make all the information on GIs in Africa widely available and easily accessible to all stakeholders, enhancing transparency and awareness on IP in the region.
The online GI Hub was created by the Consultative Committee of the African Union Continental Strategy on GIs and is implemented by the EUIPO to provide stakeholders with relevant information on GIs in Africa.
The Africa IP SME Helpdesk and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania are organising a seminar on market access to African countries. It will take place on 30 March at the CCIR Business Center in Bucharest, Romania.
As part of the upcoming 69th meeting of the ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation (AWGIPC) taking place on 14-17 March 2023 in Bohol, the Philippines, ARISE+ IPR will host two meetings on 15 March 2023, including the 6th sub-Project Steering Committee (sub-PSC) Meeting and Conference on Regional Intellectual Property Systems.
This activity aims to support the ARIPO ad hoc working group on GIs in moving forward to create an enabling legal and institutional framework in accordance with international best practices. In 2023, the objective is to follow up on the work done by the ARIPO Member States working group in 2022.
