CarIPI participates in Mona Law’s 8th annual Symposium on Law, Governance and Society
On 25-26 June, in an effort to keep raising awareness on intellectual property rights in the CARIFORUM region, the CarIPI team participated in Mona Law’s 8th annual Symposium on Law, Governance and Society – organised by the University of the West Indies in Jamaica.
During the session entitled Geographical indications in IP, the topic discussed by one of CarIPI’s team members was “Cooperation strategies for regional OLP producer groups”. We had the opportunity to talk about the different activities undertaken in the region by CarIPI to boost the capacity of regional producers of OLPs to effectively market their products in key target markets.
This activity is part of CarIPI’s 2022 Annual Work Plan actions ‘A18 - Symposium on innovation, economic development and the role of IP’.
