Horizon Europe and opportunities for research cooperation (Part I)
On 28 June 2022, the CarIPI project organised its first online session to promote opportunities for research cooperation between EU and CARIFORUM countries. There was a strong focus on the European Commission’s Horizon Europe Programme. Researchers, research institutions, industry representatives and private sector stakeholders from the Caribbean region took part in the session. The aim was to encourage them to participate in financing strategies and collaboration opportunities in EU-funded international cooperation programmes.
Horizon Europe
Horizon Europe is the EU’s framework programme for research and innovation (R&I) 2021-2027. Like its predecessor, Horizon 2020, it will be the main instrument for implementing the EU’s R&D&I policies. The programme’s main objective is to enhance the scientific, technological, economic and social impact of EU investments in R&I. In turn, this will strengthen its scientific and technological bases and increase competition in all Member States.
