Regional workshop on the role of innovation and IP in the blue economy

On 22-24 March, CARIFORUM Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation (CarIPI) collaborated with WIPO, the University of the West Indies, and the Japan Patent Office, to hold a regional workshop on the role of Innovation and IP in the Blue Economy. Representatives from Business Support Organisations and MSME’s were invited to participate in the in-person event to be held in Barbados. The workshop is part of CarIPI’s activities to encourage the private sector to create, protect and manage their own value chains and use IP rights as a competitive tool.
