Study on Economic benefits of IP in Georgia

Based on the necessity of assessing the current impact of IPR on the Georgian economy, this study will specifically target the reality within Georgia and will take into account all relevant factors influencing the protection and enforcement of IPR in the country.

The study will focus on the role played by IPRs in companies operating in Georgia at different levels. It will assess the level of importance of IPRs in the Georgian economy and what benefits they bring to companies of different sizes (IPR intensive industries, SMEs, etc.).

Depending on the outcome of the assessment, specific follow-up measures can be implemented in order to favour economic development and to validate possible actions by the legislator.
