Regional workshop on capacity building for the strategic use of intellectual property (IP) by agro-producers and exporters

On 6-7 December, CarIPI collaborated with the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Government of Saint Lucia in organising a 2-day workshop on capacity building for the strategic use of IP by regional producers and exporters in the agro-business sector.

After a first, well-received session held in July, this second session was split into presentations and group exercises. The aim of this training exercise was to increase the capacity of export agencies, SMEs and origin-linked producer groups to leverage IP tools so they can get the best possible value for their origin-linked agricultural products. The activity is part of the CarIPI Mentorship programme.
