Seminar on convergence of practices and related case-law

On 9 September 2020, a seminar on the implementation of European Union Intellectual Property Network (EUIPN) practices took place in Tbilisi. Following the recent alignment of Sakpatenti (the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia) with EUIPN practices, the seminar focused on real-world aspects of implementing those practices in Georgia as well as on some relevant case-law.

The seminar, which was attended by more than 40 people, was mainly addressed to Sakpatenti examiners, IP attorneys and other Georgian stakeholders. They benefited from the expert advice of EUIPO lawyers, who participated online and provided updates on recent case-law. The seminar was held in Georgian with simultaneous translation to and from English.

The seminar was organised under the framework of the EU-Georgian Intellectual Property Project (EUGIPP), an EU-funded programme implemented by the EUIPO.
