CARIFORUM IP offices - Webinar on trademark classification

On 19 May, the CarIPI project hosted a first large virtual meeting & training on trademarks classification delivered by a senior EUIPO legal expert, Mr Thom Clark, with the participation of representatives of almost all CARIFORUM countries, so as representatives from the CARIFORUM Directorate and the EU Delegation to Barbados (37 participants in total, 5 time zones).

Participants benefited from the event, whose objective was to share practice and recent trends on classification of goods and services for trademarks registration, and progress with the activity 6 of the approved Annual Work Plan 1 “Development of a classification of goods and services database”, in addition to test this new online format.
