Webinar on Student Entrepreneurs on Intellectual Property and Start-ups
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), in cooperation with the Japan Patent Office (JPO), organised, within the framework of the EU–Japan Intellectual Property Action (EU–Japan IPA), the webinar Student Entrepreneurs on Intellectual Property and Start-ups, held online on 27 August 2026. The session was aimed at students, young innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs, and explored how intellectual property (IP) can support business growth and innovation through the effective use of patents, trade marks and designs.
The webinar featured contributions from EUIPO and JPO experts, alongside success stories from young entrepreneurs in Europe and Japan. Participants received practical guidance on protecting their ideas, developing IP strategies for start-ups, and attracting investment, while also engaging directly with experts during a live Q&A session.
