IP Caselaw Conference for CARIFORUM, MERCOSUR and Chile
From 5 to 6 March 2024, the CARIFORUM Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation project (CarIPI), in collaboration with the AL-INVEST Verde IPR project, the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) Academy for Law, and the Jamaica Intellectual Property Office (JIPO), hosted an IP Caselaw Conference for judges from Chile, CARIFORUM and MERCOSUR Member States and legal IP practitioners based in Jamaica.
The purpose of the event was to expand information on the legal and regulatory framework of IP, to review trends in IP case-law and to learn best practices in the judicial administration of IP disputes in the CARIFORUM and MERCOSUR regions.
The knowledge shared by the experts during the conference, will benefit not only the regional audience, but also a more global audience. Moreover, the conference will promote the dissemination and exchange of information on IP judicial decisions around the world.
