Webinar on Intellectual Property, Traditional Knowledge and Traditional Cultural Expressions for Dominica

On 18 October 2023, the CARIFORUM Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation (CarIPI) project, the World Intellectual Property Office, and the Registrar of the Companies and Intellectual Property Office of Dominica, held a webinar together on the subject of intellectual property, traditional knowledge and traditional expressions. 

The aim of this activity was to raise intellectual property awareness among public officials and stakeholders in the indigenous and local communities in Dominica.

During the webinar, as part of CarIPI’s Annual Work Plan 4, Activity 17: Regional GRTKF policy and strategy, the project’s IP expert Wendy Hollingsworth, gave a regional overview of Traditional Knowledge and Traditional Cultural Expressions.
