Legal assistance and guidance on the industrial design legislation for Saint Kitts and Nevis

On 18 April 2023, the CARIFORUM Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation (CarIPI) team hosted an online meeting with the examiners and legal drafters of the Intellectual Property Office of St. Kitts and Nevis (IPOSKN) to discuss the content of the draft Bill on Designs.

At present, the country does not have industrial design legislation. St. Kitts and Nevis has expressed interest in receiving legal assistance from the project in this regard, resuming the work started in previous years of CarIPI.

The legal assistance to IPOSKN is part of CarIPI’s Annual Work Plan 4, Activity 15: Support in drafting and implementing modernized IP laws, regulations and promoting its use.
