Workshop on TMClass with BIE Suriname

On 28 March 2023, CARIFORUM Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation (CarIPI) organised a joint workshop on TMClass with the Surinamese Intellectual Property Office (BIE). The workshop reviewed the benefits of having a pre-defined and published list of terms for goods and services that are accepted when registering trade marks. The workshop was aimed particularly at examiners, users of the IP system and SMEs.

During the workshop, there was a hands-on demonstration of the Caribbean TMClass tool, the regional interface of TMClass for CARIFORUM’s participating IP offices, officially launched on 9 December 2021.

This workshop is part of CarIPI’s annual work plan 4, activity 6: Support IPOs in digitization of their business processes and databases.
