Train the trainer courses for Georgian school teachers

Following last year’s big success, the scope of the ‘Creativity and IP in Georgian schools’ activity has been extended in 2022 and is now reaching over 25 Georgian schools. More educational materials from the IdeasPowered@School were selected and translated into Georgian to facilitate teaching primary and secondary students about the benefits of intellectual property in their daily lives.

From 24 October to 2 November, a series of ‘train the trainer’ courses will be organised for teachers participating in the activity. Education experts and Sakpatenti staff representatives will present the newly translated materials to provide teachers with the relevant knowledge and pedagogical methodologies to educate students on intellectual property.

After the sessions, teachers will go back to their classrooms and apply the competencies learned during these weeks, so that students can benefit from the materials produced as part of this project. Lessons at schools will take place in the last part of this year and a closing event to present the results of the activity is planned to take place at the beginning of 2023.
