Are you an expert in intellectual property rights? Are you passionate about the EU accession process? EU4IP is seeking a dedicated professional to provide long-term expertise and support to the Republic of Moldova in its journey towards EU membership, specifically in the field of intellectual property (IP) rights.

Position: Long-term expert in intellectual property rights

Location: Republic of Moldova

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic guidance: Provide expert advice and strategic guidance on aligning Moldova’s IP rights policies with EU standards and requirements.
  • Capacity building: Facilitate capacity-building initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of local stakeholders involved in IP rights management and enforcement.
  • Policy development: Assist in the development and implementation of IP rights policies and regulations to support Moldova’s EU accession efforts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with government agencies, local authorities and international partners to ensure a coordinated approach to improving IP rights.
  • Monitoring and evaluation: Oversee the progress of IP rights-related initiatives and ensure compliance with EU guidelines and standards.

Details:

  • Contract type: Fee-based.
  • Programme title: EU4IP – Strengthening Intellectual Property Rights in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
  • Financing: Contribution Agreement between DG NEAR and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
  • Implementation period: From contract commencement until 31 December 2027.

Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in intellectual property rights with a focus on EU standards.
  • Experience in policy development, capacity building and strategic guidance.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluent Romanian and English language skills.
